so,
2012⇒ Divisible by 4
Hence 2012 is a Leap year
1726 ⇒ Not Divisible by 4
Hence 1726 is a Ordinary year
1943⇒ Not Divisible by 4
Hence 1943 is a Ordinary year

Important Note: Case of century year. We divide that year by 400, if it is divided completely, will called leap year otherwise called Ordinary year.

Ex. In 1700, 1200, 500 Find Which is leap year and which is Ordinary year?
so,
1200⇒ Divisible by 400
Hence 1200 is a Leap year
1700⇒ Not Divisible by 400
Hence 1700 is a Ordinary year
500 ⇒ Not Divisible by 400
Hence 500 is a Ordinary year

2. Find a Day using given Date in Calendar Questions

Ex. What was the day on 13th April 1723 ?
Solution:
Write completed years, months & days till 13th April 1723. And Find Odd Days.

= 5 Leap year
so, Formula For odd days in year

odd days = \frac{27}{7}= 6 Remainder
Finally, Total Odd Days
= 0+5+6+3+0+6 = 23
23 days can never be odd days, so we divide it by 7

For 2 Odd Days Tuesday (Final Ans)

3. When Reference Date is not given in Calendar Questions

Ex. If today is Sunday, what day will be 128 days after today? 
Solution:
Formula For Counting odd Days in days
\frac{Days}{7}= Remainder (Odd Days)
\frac{128}{7}= 2 (Odd Days)
So, 2 odd days are there. Therefore after Sunday is Tuesday.
