Understand The Clock Hour Hand and Minute Hand Concept

Before solving the Clock Reasoning Questions and Answers you should know the concept of clock and its angle. A  clock has two hands,  the smaller one is called the hour hand or Shorthand, While the larger one is called minute hand or longhand.

• In 60 minutes,  the minute hand gain 55 minutes on the hour  hand.
•  in every hour both the hands coincide once
•  The both hands are in a straight line, when they are coincide or opposite to each other.
•  when the two hands of clock are at right angles.  they are 15 minute space apart
•  when the hands are in opposite direction,  they are 30 minute spaces apart.
•  angle trace by our and in 12 hours= 360⁰
•  angle Trees by minute hand in 60 minute =360⁰
•  IF a watch or 1 log indicates 8:15  when the correct time is 8,  is it is said to be 15 minute to fast.  on the other hand,  if it indicates 7:45, When the correct time is 8,  it is said to be 15 minute too slow.

Clock concept for every 24 hour or in one day

• Both hand of the clock coincide 1 time in 1 hour but 11:00 time in 12 hour or 22 time in 24 hour.
•  both hand of the clock opposite 1 time in 1 hour but 11 time in 12 hour or 22 time in 24 hour
•  both hand of the clock right angle twice in one hour but 22 in 12 hour or 44 time in 24 hour.
• In 24 hour both hands of the clock lies,  44 times in a straight line. ( 22 time coincide +22 times opposite).

Clock Reasoning Formula

Formula for Clock Angle:

• Minute Hand Concept
  • In 60 Minute – Rotate 360°
  • In 1 Minute – \frac{360^{0}}{60} = Rotate 6°
    
• Hour Hand Concept
  • In 12 Hour – Rotate 360°
  • in 1 Hour –  \frac{360^{0}}{12} = Rotate 30°
  • So, In 1 Minute = \frac{30^{0}}{60 Minute } = (½)° = Rotate 0.5°
    
    Example, How much angle hour hand make, If it turn from 2pm to 4pm ?
    => Total Time 2 Hours = 120 Minute
        hour hand make an 0.5° in 1 Minute
        So, In 2 hours ,
        120 Minute  x 0.5° = 60° (Ans)
• Angle Formula
  • H x 30 = F°
  • M x\frac{11}{2}= y°

Clock Reasoning Tricks

• If you want to find out the mirror image time of clock, then simply subtract the given time from 12 : 00 or 11 : 60.
  • Example, Find the mirror image time of clock 8 : 40 ?
    12 : 00 or 11 : 60
    – 8 : 40
    ———
    3 : 20 (Time in mirror image )
    
• If you want to find out the water Image time of clock, then simply subtract the given time from 18 : 30 or 17 : 90 में से घटाये.
  • Example, Find the water image time of clock 8 : 20 ?
    18 : 30 or 17 : 90
    – 8 : 20

    10 : 10 (Time in water image )
    Note: If 10 : 10 is not given in the option, then subtract 1 hour From the answer.
    10 : 10 – 1 : 00 = 9 : 10 (Ans )

as we know,
Minute hand in 1 minute = 6°
Minute hand in 60 second = 6°
Then in 1 Sec \frac{6}{60}
and In 29 sec = \frac{6}{60} x 29 = 2.9°

Solution:
as we know hour hand in 1 hour = 30°
In 60 minute = 30°
In 3600 sec = 30°

In 36 sec = \frac{1}{120^{0}} x 36 = \left (\frac{3}{10} \right )
